In a Nutshell
Twin Galaxies is a Science-Fiction table-top Role-Playing Game, completely free, mainly from the Space Opera genre, in which heroes live through epic adventures
in the twin galaxies. A universe with a Hard Science touch in order to define plausible technologies and thus to allow players to experience a large variety of
adventures within a rich and detailed setting. Twin Galaxies has also been developed with the aim to be sufficiently generic to allow everyone to easily carry out its own SF campaign.
From Past to Present
Begun in 1992, Twin Galaxies has undergone several evolutions until today. Its digitalisation began in October 2001 but has really begun since February
2002 with a first release on the Web in May 2002. Provided, for the moment, in a development version (Version 0-X) but already fully playable, this roleplaying game, which aim is to evolve
by taking into account your comments, reviews and commentaries, is in progress so do not hesitate to contact us.
The Website
For the moment, things that are avalaible to download on this website: a complete Players' Handbook
which proposes basic rules that allow to carry out your first adventures, along with an overview of the background of Twin Galaxies, a complete Master's Codex which is in an advanced
development stage, the World Guide and the Systems Guide which are in progress. You will also find the Equipment Guide, the Vehicles & Vessels Guide and the Fighter's Art,
a supplement that deals with the combat system in a detailed way, the TG Files which aim is to present some mechanics that are not yet proposed
in the different available handbooks and supplements and last but not least, a campaign, several complete adventures
and nearly a dozen detailed synopsis.
While waiting for the World Guide to be complete, the site's World section is mainly designed to propose a general overview of the game setting,
the description of the main species, a presentation of the most influential factions, a list of the main inhabited systems and an overview of the main technologies along with the vehicles and vessels.
Besides, the History section propose the narrative of the turbulent history of the twin galaxies. For the ones who are in a hurry, the Focus
section allows to get a quick glimpse of the game's background.
The Game System section allows to get a quick overview of the basics of
the game system used by Twin Galaxies. In order to follow the site's evolutions and to be informed of the developments in progress, it is possible to consult the
News section. The Lounge is a place specifically dedicated to gamemasters where they can find many advices to improve their games.
Finally, a Short Story intended to give a glimpse of the game's unique ambiance is also available on this website, along with a Gallery
which presents drawings specifically made for Twin Galaxies.
The Project
Developed with the intention to get a permanent improvement while trying to take into account, if possible, feedbacks and commentaries
from the web users, Twin Galaxies is a project that is already old which fits into a long-standing scheme. It is an ambitious project with numerous development works such as,
among others, the development of a complete range of handbooks and supplements, the making of a collection of "ready-to-play" adventures and the writing of a short story. If

On completion, Twin Galaxies should be composed of 3 main handbooks: the Players' Handbook, the World Guide and the Master's Codex along with 5 supplements:
the Systems Guide, the Equipment Guide, the Vehicles & Vessels Guide, the Fighter's Art and the Advanced Rules along with a
Collection of Adventures and several campaigns including The Pact of Ashes. For the moment, this site already offers more than 500 pages of downloadable resources
(mainly in French).
